Lanzarotte, Canary islands, Spain

A vacation trip in Lanzarotte at the end of 2012. It is a touristic island but it has places which are worth a visit. I made allot of pictures here starting with the place I stayed, in Areciffe: Areciffe . Not a very good choice for a stay, but is has good connections with the rest of the island, and is really easy to go around from here. First place I visited was Puerto del Carmen. Next day I went to Playa Blanca and the beaches of Papagayo: Playa Blanca . One of the reasons I have chosen Lanzarotte was to visit the Timanfaya national park with the volcanic side of the island: Timanfaya. Next was a trip to Costa Teguise: Costa Teguise . A car trip was a bit more efficient being able to visit Jardin del Cactus, Jameo del agua, Cueva de los Verdes, Miradouro de Rio and El Golfo. Next two trips were to Teguise and the last one to watch the waves in La Santa: La Santa.

Geres, Spain

A new trip to Geres, this time in the spanish side of the border, starting from the vilage Bubaces along a river with many beautifull waterfalls: waterfall river.

Lindoso, Portugal

Romania 2012

A trip home in 2012 it allowed me to go to some places close to my parents place. First it was a visit to a cave in Polovragi: Polovragi cave. Another roadtrip got me to a dam called "Valea Mare" (Big Valley) Valea Mare, and then crossing the mountains to the sources of Cerna and a dam on Cerna river: Cerna.

Laundos, Portugal

A Guarda, Spain

A roadtrip to A Guarda in Spain, the place where the Minho river goes to the ocean. We passed on the bridge near Lovelhe on Spain, where we saw a old fortress: Lovelhe. Next we arrived on A Guarda, walked a bit on the beach, and we went to the old roman ruins in Castro de Santa Tegra, and passed the river back to Portugal on the ferry: A Guarda. Douro valley, Portugal

A trip on Douro valley with Erasmus group going from Regua at S. João da Pesqueira. We visited some port vinyards, and drank some great wine. Here are some pictures:  Douro trip with Erasmus. Roadtrips through Portugal

A trip to Britelo, going with friends from Braga to Ponte de Barca and returning through Teras de Bouro. We made trilho de megalitismo de Britelo. Here are some pictures: Trilho de Britelo. Tui, Spain and Valenca Portugal

The river Minho flows between Spain and Portugal. On the Spanish side there is a city called Tui: Tui. On the Portuguese side there is another city called Valença: Valença. On the way back we stoped on a small city called Arcos de Valdevez: Arcos De Valdevez.

Citania de Briteiros, Portugal

Berlengas, Portugal

Last weekend we finally got to go to the island of Berlengas, close to the Portuguese coast. We took a boat from the close by city of Peniche: Peniche. We reach the island and we had two wonderful dives. I liked the island very much and I hope to dive and visit it again. Here are some pictures from there: Berlengas. Nature

Many time when i go around i see many things that deserve to have a picture. I like to put some of the things  in categories so i can have some beautiful pictures together: Plants, Insects, Animals, Fruits, Fish, Birds, Sky pictures, Optical Ilusions, Marine landscapes, Strange. Sometimes i like to take a sequence of pictures: Burst Photography , Photostream. I hope you enjoy them.

Trip to Romania, 2011

In 2011 I went home for a 2 weeks vacation. It was a long trip and I went by Porto-Madrid-Bucharest and I have some pictures from that last flight: Flight Madrid Bucharest. It was a special vacation because I went to meet my colleagues from highschool and university. For that I had to visit Cluj Napoca, the city where I have done my studies. I have some pictures from the city, not the greatest places to be but the places that hold most memories for me, especially the campus and the famous "Camin XVI", where I have lived for almost 5 years toghether with almost 1000 other students: Cluj-Napoca.

Trails from Geres, Portugal

  Some new pictures from the lake of Vilharino das Furnas: Vilharinho das Furnas.      
  Last Sunday I visited Geres again. This time it was the Eagle's trail(Trilho da Águia do Sarilhão). It was really nice and I enjoyed the hike and the swimm in the lake. Here are some pictures: Eagle's Trail Geres.
There are many trails on Geres and I hope to make them all: Geres trails.
         The next hiking in Geres was in Trilho dos Currais(The corral trail). It was great. If you want to look for yourself, here you go: Trihlo De Currais.
        One other place to see is the church of Sao Bento in Geres: Sao Bento Geres. In 15 august was the time to visit Geres again and to hike on Trilho de Sao Bento. Well part of it, because I missed the trail and had to make a bigger walk instead. Anyway, here are the pictures: Trilho De Sao Bento.

    In another weekend I made a trip from Villa do Geres to Sao Bento Villa do Geres to Sao Bento. It was a great trip although I lost the buss and had to make the trip back on foot for must of the way...
     Second day of October brought on another trip to Geres, to Arado waterfall, from Geres to Pedra Bella, the waterfall , Ermida and back to the main road on Villa de Veiga, around 20 km in total.  It was a nice trip but I hope to see the waterfall again, because I spent so much time getting there that I did not had time to see the area around the waterfall.          On 30 of October I made a new crossing between Villa do Geres and Sao Bento: Villa do Geres Sao Bento second. I took another way this time and went to one of the peaks. On the bright side, I did not lost the buss this time :).
          Six of November, a very sunny day and another trail between Villa do Geres and Sao Bento: Villa do Geres to Sao Bento, new way. It was good at first, but on the last part I tried a new way and by the time I finally got through I had the feeling I would need a machete to cut through all the blackberry bushes :).
        A new trail, from Portela do Homem, along Rio Homem until Minas dos Caris. It is an amazing view even on bad weather, which included a snowfall :). Here are some pictures: Rio Homem.
       Another trip to  Vilharino das Furnas  to see the ruins and other things: Vilarinho das Furnas ruins. A new visit to Arado river and his surroundings: Rio Arado.

A great trail starting from Portela do Homem towards a peak which I still did not identified yet on the north side: Portela do Homem. Since this was the first time I used a GPS device is also the first time when i provide a GPS file of the hike, which can be seen in the BaseCamp software or Garmin GPS: Portela do Homem GPS trail. A new trip to along Rio Homem Minas dos Caris.
Another trip to a peak close to Portela do Homem, a bit more higher then the other one at 1228 m: Portela do homem peak 1228.

This time it was a trip to another part of Geres, around rio Conho, close to Fafiao. Great views along the way and nice trail: rio Conho. A trip to Carris peak, the second highest peak in Geres, going to the old road and coming back on the cliffs at the border with Spain: Carris peak. In the last weekend of September I went back to Vilharinho das Furnas, on the first hike on the right side of the lake. The views from the mountain range are amazing: Vilharinho das Furnas antenas. The passing through Geres next to the from Villa do Geres to Campo do Geres: Geres crossing. New pictures from the epic Erasmus trip to pico de Nevosa , highest one in Geres, going through Minas dos Carris: Nevosa peak.
