A trip in the wonderful world of water. I like the water, I like to swimm in the water, I like to dive in the water and I love to watch different sides of water.  The water is full of life and color and I'm fascinat by it: Fish.

Ystad, Sweden

These are the photo's from Ystad, a port in the extrem south of Sweden. I was there with some friends in December 2006: Ystad.

Visits to Malmö, Sweden

Malmö is a city quite close to Lund. The city is an important harbor and  it has a very nice park. A walk in the park is a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon, especially if you are with friends... Malmö.

Malmö este un oraş în apropierea Lundului. Orasul este un port important  şi are un parc foarte interesant.  O plimbare în parc este o idee perfecta pentru o dupa amiază cu prietenii... Malmö.

Vannern and Vatern lakes. Sweden

I made a trip on those lake in Sweden May 2007 with a group of friends and coleagues. We rented 3 cars and we slept in hostels on the road. We had a great time and seen many beautiful places which can  be seen in the pictures: Vannern and Vatern Lakes.

Am făcut o excursie la aceste lacuri în Suedia în mai 2007 cu un grup de prieteni si colegi. Am inchiriat 3 maşini şi am dormit în diferite hosteluri pe drum. Ne-am distrat grozav si am văzut peisaje superbe, pe care le puteţi admira şi voi in fotografii: Lacurile Vannern si Vatern.

Skryllegarden natural reservation, Sweden

Not very far from Lund, there is a natural reservation in a beautiful forest. The forest is easy to access with the bike so I'm going there somethimes to walk around. It is also a very good place for jogging but I like to enjoy the view: Skryllegarden.
Nu departe de Lund este o rezervatie naturala intr-o padure frumoasa . Padurea e usor accesibila cu bicicleta, asa ca ma duc acolo uneori la plimbare. Este de asemenea un loc foarte bun pentru jogging, dar eu prefer sa admir peisajul la viteze mai mici: Skryllegarden.

Visiting Copenhagen, Denmark

These pictures have been made in Copenhagen in July 2006. It was sunny and warm weather as is rarely seen there. I think it is a wonderful city, with beautiful channels and an interesting history: Copenhagen. On another trip to Copenhagen, on third of May 2009 I made some other pictures,  on the  Carlsberg beer museum: Carlsberg Beer Museum.
Aceste poze au  fost făcute în Copenhaga, în iulie 2006. A fost însorit şi cald, o vreme destul de rară aici. Cred că este un oraş minunat, cu canale frumoase şi o istorie interesantă: Copenhagen. Într-o altă călătorie la Copenhaga, în 3 mai 2009 am făcut alte poze în muzeul berii Carlsberg: Carlsberg Beer Museum.

Bucegi mountains, Romania

These are images from my hiking trip in Bucegi mountains from August 2004. These mountains are a part of the Carpathian mountains, in Romania:  Bucegi Mountains.

Personal information

          Hi everybody,
my name is Rata Doru Gabriel and i was born in Tirgu-Jiu, Romania. I have made  my studies until the highschool graduation in my home town, then i went to the university in Cluj-Napoca. After the master studies i made my PhD studies in Aachen, Germany. After that I worked as a postdoc to Lund, Sweden for two years. After that I worked as postdoc in Aarhus, Denmark and a research felow at INL, Braga, Portugal. Currently I'm back home in Tirgu-Jiu. I love to travel and make photo's and i will try to illustrate in this blog the pictures that i took during my trips folowing the motto ''a picture   is worth it a 1000 words''.
