Cuejdel lake and river, Romania

In the 9-10 June weekend I went to Cuejdel lake following a path to the Cuejdel lake and going back I followed the Cuejdel river. It was an amazing experience where I saw hundreds of dragonflies, butterflies, lizards,  plants and I eat the wonderful wild strawberries.  I spent the night in the tent next to the river with the sound of the water and many many flies for neighbors.

On the way back I stoped to Agapia and Varatec.

Solo road-trip in Romania

         In the end of May beginning of June I took advantage of a few free days and I made a solo road-trip to the mountains. 

       Going alone is not recommended for your safety, is not good for your finances but I highly recommend for your mental health. I think going alone it has a kind of cleansing effect when is just you and the road and you have to do it from time to time.  

        I started with something I wanted to do a few times : Bicaz canyon on foot. The second day I walked a bit around the Red Lake, passed through Izvorul Muresului drive to the next stop in Saint Anne lake where I had a amazing encounter with a brown bear. In the same place I took a guided tour of a swamp which remained after the old crater: Tinovul Mohos. The last adventure of the day was to see Balyanos where I saw a Sulphorous cave and encounter a couple of bears. The third day of my trip was to visit the medieval center of the Sighisoara in the day and the night. In my way back I made a stop to Praid where I visited the Praid salt mine and the amazing Praid salt canyon.

Moldavian Republic, 2018

I had an amazing trip to Moldavian republic between 26-29 of May 2018. We visited the Etnographic museum and various parts of Chisinau. Our next stop was in Orheiul vechi with his collection of traditional houses on the way to the small village of  Horodiste, where we visited a small waterfall. Our next stop was in  Soroca fortress and Dnister river and we spend the night in a guest house on the Dnister river. Our last stop was the Cricova where we visited the amazing tunnels where wine comes.

Bucovina trip, Romania

In the period of 28/04/2018 01/05/2018 I made a trip to Bucovina in the north of Romania with friends. We started towards Rarau: Road to Rarau  and we made the climb on the famous Pietrele Doamnei. In the second day we went towards Putna: Road to Putna and we visited the Putna monastery. On the road we visited a ceramic shop for: Black pottery. The third day we went to the Hanul Voievozilor for a zip-line adventure, we pased through Radauti and brought us to a trip on a narrow track train Mocanita - Vatra Moldovitei. In the return trip we had the occasion to see some very curious Ostrich.  In the last day we said goodbye to Sucevita and visited an old salt mine : Cacica.

Paris, december 2017

In December 2017 I made a short trip to Paris . I did not had too much free time but I was able to see the Alps from the plane, to have a Paris Walkabout and to admire the Paris lights.

Dobrogea, Romania

I made a trip in Dobrogea, Romania with a very nice group from my current city of Iasi "Alternativa urbana" We camped under Pricopanu ridge  and we had a very nice tour on the mountains the next day. In the evening we visited also the Enisala fortress on the banks of Razim lake. The next day we made a trip on the Razim lake to reach Gura Portitei, the place where the lake used to communicate with the Black Sea. In the evening we returned to the camping place in the fishing village of Jurilovca. In the last day of our trip we went to the Orgame fortress and we passed to the Iacob lake formed to the opening of an old mining gallery, a place that reminded me on the Blue lake at the Baia Sprie.

Summer vacation 2017, Gorj county, Romania

I went home for a short vacation. I made some pictures in my home city : Targu Jiu 2017. I made a trip in the mountains to Tismana and to Valea mare. I made another trip to Baia de Fier where we visited a pretty well known cave in the region : Womans cave and walked a bit on the neighboring river : Yellow river valley. My last visit in my home county was in Sohodol canyon. Because of the drought there were dry places where normally there is water so I was able to take pictures of new things. Contrary of the first impression there is still water flowing, but is underground of this karstic region.

Cucuteni, Romania

Here you can find some pictures form Cucuteni, an old neolitic dig site : Cucuteni. There was some event with dacic weaponry which is also present in the pictures.

Ceahlau, Romania

A solo hike in the Carpathian mountains: Ceahlau. A second trip in 19-20 august 2017 to Ceahlau brought me first to Razboieni monastery on the way in. I went up to the camping site in Ceahlau by Jgeabul cu hotar trail  and after spending the night there I descended by another route : Ceahlau poiana maicilor trail where I was extremely fortunate to see some wild black goats.
A hike with a friend from Bicazul Ardelean (Poiana Stanile) in 02-03/09/2017 going to the camping place where we left the tent and the luggage and we climbed the Toaca Peak. We made our return going down to Poiana Maicilor and Poiana Varatec and returning to the Poiana Stanile through another trail. Here are the pictures that I made in this hike: Bicazul ardelean trail.

Trip to Greece

In my first trip to Greece I visited the  Aegina island, the Acropolis of course, Athens. A most enchanting part of my trip was seeing the fauna of the place: birds and turtles.

Paris trip mai 2017

I had to do some trip to Paris for work reasons. I made some nice pictures from the plane: Paris and back again. There was not allot of time for visiting but I managed some pictures: Paris 2017.

Moldovian Republic

My first visit to Moldovian republic included visits to Chisinau,  Cricova and Orhei.

Romania 2016

           First trip this year, just going to the mountains to Ceahlau mountain ridge : Durau. After this we went to the Bicaz dam, Bicaz canyon and a short stay at the Red lake.
           Another30-31 July a camping trip, first after few years going next to the Pangarati lake, making some boat trips and staying at a camping site  Bicaz boat and Izvorul alb. Next day we went to a more extended stay at Around Red Lake and made a stop to visit : Piatra Neamt.
          A short vacation to my grandparents village allowed me to make some pictures : Calnic. In the return trip towards Iasi I took a road-trip and we made some stops along the way : Curtea de Arges, Rucar pass and Bran castle.
         A new trip towards Ceahlau mountains making a circular trail from Durau through Fantanele Cabin staying the night to the camping close to Dochia Cabin and descending throught the Duruitoarea waterfall : Durau trail. At the return trip we passed through an old fortress : Cetatea Neamtului.
 A new trip towards the monasteries brought me to Probota monastery, to the more famous Voronet Monastery and we have seen the mountains in Gura Humorului.
An amazing trip to Ceahlau mountains in the winter got us snow and more unfortunately rain, but it was worth it : Ceahlau in winter.

Iasi, Romania

        I moved in Iasi in September 2015, but I only started to live here since 10 October 2015. There are many things to love here and I started to discover them. One of the first things to love is without a doubt the: botanical garden. One other interesting spot is the Cetatuia monastery and a picnic spot on the Hill with the antena. Strange enough, the garbage dump provided me with an opportunity to take some very interesting photos of scavenging birds: the birds.
         The spring of 2016 gave me the chance to see the tulips collection, a bit decayed, but still spectacular. I have also some pictures from a bike trip made next to Chirita lake near  Iasi and Jijia river: bike trip. Here are some pictures from the rooftop of my building in: Podul Ros.

Paris, France

         I went to Paris for a training stage in Autumn 2015. First day was a trip around town especially in the La defense area: Paris first day. The next trip was in the next weekend going to the Biology museum, Jardin des Plantes, the Mineralogy museum and then taking a long walk through Paris: Walk through Paris. The Versailles palace and gardens showed me the magnificence of a long bygone era when beauty was an ideal to be sought after even with the exclusion of the common sense: Versailles.
        A night view from the Eifel tower: Nightscape from Eifel tower. A zombie walk festival in Paris showed some remarkable costumes and make-up job: zombie walk in Paris. A visit to the land of the dead in the catacombs of Paris can make you wonder if many of the things that seem important to us really matter all that much. Last evening in Paris got me to the Arts et metiers museum where I got to see many interesting artifacts.
        On the way back I had the chance to see a temporary break from the clouds and see some magnificent mountain landscapes: The Alpes viewed from the plane.

Romania, 2015

Here are some of the pictures made at Curtisoara museum: Curtisoara museum. This is great village museum with houses, tools and traditional costumes brought in from the entire Gorj county. It can be found at this address: Curtisoara museum address on google maps. In moved from my home city in Moldavian part of Romania in the city of Iasi. Here are some pictures taken in late October in the botanical garden: botanical garden Iasi. In one of the weekends I managed to take a walk to the Cetatuia hill on the  edge of the town: Cetatuia.

Trip to Ireland

My first trip to Ireland started in Belfast with a walk in the town and a visit to the wall of peace with some amazing graffiti: Belfast. Next I took a trip to Dublin where I got to see the city and the St. Patrick's day parade, or at least the beginning of it: Dublin. The visit included a walk through the Dublinia, an amazing historical museum where the life of the old city is presented as a walk in time. I went back to London crossing through the Wales: sea crossing to Wales.
